On days like today, when the temperature is close to 90 degrees, I find myself dreaming of winter.
It’s been hot for a while now. Maybe not the hottest July in the history of Riverton, Wyoming, but if you asked my husband, he’d say it was.
There is a certain sound the snow makes when you throw a shovelful of it on top of accumulated snow. It’s a soft sound. A muted “whump” that sounds both heavy and light at the same time.
I would love to hear that sound right now.
