AARF
AARF is an animal rescue and sanctuary located near Mayer, Arizona. As I write this, it has been less than a year since they began operations and already they have rehomed nearly 100 dogs. They have yet to get the cat facility up and running, but I’m told that it will not be much longer.
There are a number of excellent not-for-profit animal rescues in the area in which I live. This is the newest. They’ve accomplished a lot in less than a year through the tireless efforts of the staff and the many volunteers and benefactors.

They hold open houses now and then (the address is 6639 S. Country Road, Mayer, AZ 86333) where the public is invited to just drop by.
