Quite some time ago, those who are supposed to have figured these things out, decided that most Americans do not get enough vitamin D. Apparently, a deficiency in vitamin D can cause a whole lot of different problems. So those who know suggested that daily supplementation with vitamin D would be a good thing.
I, and probably a lot of other people, jumped right on that bandwagon, secure in the thought that I was doing something good for my health.
Then … someone else who purports to know more than those who know came along and said there is a specific form of vitamin D that is more beneficial than what most people had been taking. Well, shoot, that better vitamin D was not the form I had been using for years. So I switched to the “special” vitamin D. Yay for me.
So, just the other day, I saw an article blurb online that said there is a best time of day to take vitamin D.
I did not read the article.
I take quite a few different supplements. I take them shortly after breakfast while I still have food in my stomach. I take them all at the same time. Whether or not it’s the best time to be taking them, I do not know. And frankly, I don’t care.
There is so much advice out there about what we should be doing for optimal health that if I did all of it, I’d have no time for doing anything else. So I ignore a lot of it.
So what has this to do with spaghetti?
Apparently, there is some debate about whether you should or should not rinse it after boiling it. Again, I saw an article blurb online. I did not read it.
Here’s my thought. And it applies to a lot of things. If you like to rinse your spaghetti after boiling it, then rinse the damn spaghetti and ignore what other people might say about it.
Life is complicated enough as it is without complicating it further.
