Candy coated apples and

Pumpkins on the prowl.

Russet covered landscapes and

Coyotes, how they howl.

Dark Moon cold of evenings and

Day’s enfolding heat,

Hot cider for the cousins and

Oatmeal cookies fresh to eat.

Cinnamon does spice the air and

Sage a seasoning makes.

There’s many things to finish and

Mom bakes and bakes and bakes.

Apple sauce and pumpkin pie and

Roast turkey for the taking,

In her wise and ageless way,

A holiday Mom’s making.

In our very troubled times and

In our times of need,

It’s fruitful to remember this and

These wise words to heed.

It never can be said enough and

At the top this ranks.

When everything seems dark and dim,

Give thanks, give thanks, give thanks.

About Me
Getting outdoors. One of my favorite things

I’m Dianne, the creator and author of this blog. I started blogging in order to promote my novels. But I discovered I really enjoy reaching out to the world through my blog. I’m curious and I seek answers to all sorts of things. Writing about what interests me helps me to explore the world and all the people in it. I especially enjoy the comments from readers and how they illuminate the topics under discussion.
